Veterinary Radiology

Veterinary Radiology encompasses multiple means of making and interpreting diagnostic images. Our team of veterinary specialists is proud to offer a wide variety of these services to the South Florida area.
LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital’s commitment to having the latest state-of-the-art equipment paired with the skill and expertise of the radiologist ensures clarity and accuracy in interpretation and diagnosis.
Although standard x-rays are still the backbone of diagnosis, we also offer the following emergency vet radiology services:
  • Diagnostic ultrasound — allows the radiologist to see inside of organs and to assess finer structures than those identified by x-ray.
  • Computed tomography (CAT scans) — a more advanced use of x-rays in which a computer makes a cross sectional image. This modality is very important in neurologic conditions and in identifying many tumors.
  • C-Arm Fluoroscopy — Our Radiology Department is equipped with advanced C-arm fluoroscopy, a real-time imaging technology that allows our specialists to visualize internal structures with exceptional clarity during diagnostic and interventional procedures. This dynamic X-ray system provides continuous, high-resolution imaging—enhancing precision, safety, and efficiency during surgeries, arthrograms, interventional radiology procedures, orthopedic repairs, and minimally invasive treatments. The C-arm’s mobility and versatility allow our team to obtain detailed images from multiple angles, ensuring accurate diagnostics and optimal patient outcomes while minimizing radiation exposure.
